Tuesday, June 25th, 2013 at 1:23 pm

On June 19, 2013 Foundation Directors and Clovis Unified educators met to review sixty-eight grant applications from teachers and staff across the school district. Twenty-three projects totaling $115,362 were selected to be funded for the 2013-2014 school year.

One of the signature programs that the Foundation supports annually is the “Classroom and School Grants” program. Grants awarded through this program provide innovative and creative educational experiences which help students succeed academically and personally.

According to Hugh Awtrey, Foundation Chairperson, “It was evident that teachers and staff put a lot of thought and care into writing their applications. We regret that we could not provide funds for all sixty-eight grants.”

Grant amounts awarded ranged from $326 to $9,785.
