Designated Gifts & Endowments
Over the years, individuals and businesses who have fond memories of our schools or families who want to memorialize loved ones, have established annual designated gift programs or endowments to provide funds for scholarships and educational programs for years to come.
Examples of these designated gifts and endowments are:
Molly Buchanan Teaching Scholarship
In honor of Molly Buchanan, outstanding teacher and wife of former Superintendent Floyd B. “Doc” Buchanan. This scholarship provides financial assistance to graduates of Clovis Schools in pursuing their goal of becoming teachers.
Bud Rank Scholarship for the Fort Washington Elementary Library
This endowment provides annual funds for the library at Ft. Washington Library to purchase books and other important materials.
Roxie Varadian Scholarship
For Clovis High seniors who attended Clovis Unified schools from K-12. Ms. Varadian left a portion of her estate to the Foundation to establish this scholarship.
Rene Errotabere Most Competitive Athlete Award
In honor of a long-time CUSD administrator who passed away. Friends of Mr. Errotabere established this scholarship in his memory to provide financial assistance to outstanding athletes attending college.
Max and Mayme Wilson Memorial Scholarship
For Clovis High graduate attending college and majoring in Engineering.
Jim Coiner Student Leadership Scholarship
Friends and colleagues of Mr. Coiner created this scholarship in his honor to provide college financial assistance to students who have shown outstanding leadership to fellow students and their schools throughout high school.
Ace Trophy Scholarship for Boy and Girl Athletes of the Year
Created by Joe Ogas of Ace Trophy, this program provides financial assistance to a boy and girl at each high school who have shown outstanding athletic ability and sportsmanship.
John W. Milhous Scholarship
For a senior who demonstrated outstanding leadership throughout his or her high school years. This scholarship was created by friends and colleagues of Mr. Milhous after his death. Mr. Milhous was a long-term donor of the Foundation and supporter of Clovis Unified schools.
