Message from the Superintendent
My roots run deep in Clovis Unfied; and one of the reasons I’ve chosen to build a 34-year career in this district, raise my son here, and now serve as Interim Superintendent, is because I know we’re a community that supports education. We love children, and more than that, we understand that our own future sits firmly in the hands of those children.
Over the years, Clovis Unified has built a reputation for delivering to students an excellent education, and for preparing our students for their future. We know that isn’t something that just “happened.” Instead, it represents a joint effort by the community, parents, educators and students in which we have worked together to help every child be successful to their maximum ability. It’s this type of effort, invested by our community, that equips our children to build a successful future for us all.
The Foundation for Clovis Schools is a great example of this shared investment. I’ve heard it said, “You make a living by what you get; you make a life by what you give,” and I truly believe this exemplifies the spirit of our Foundation for Clovis Schools donors and volunteer Directors. By giving your time, talent, or treasures to the Foundation for Clovis Schools you will help us to build an educational environment that provides resources to both our classrooms and to individual students that would otherwise be out of our reach. That’s the kind of investment that will last a lifetime and beyond.
Steve Ward
