Sponsoring a Foundation for Clovis Schools’ event is a powerful way to associate with our school district’s outstanding reputation for excellence in education. Our annual events attract hundreds of participants and received local media coverage. As a sponsor, you or your company will share in that spotlight and send a strong message to the community that you care about our children.
Annual Events
New Teachers’ Reception
(August)
A long-time tradition in Clovis Unified, the CUSD School Board welcomes each new teacher to the district at a special dinner the week before the beginning of the school year. The Foundation joins the School Board at this unique event and presents each new teacher with a $250.00 check to help offset the expenses of setting up a new classroom. Attendance: 500
Superintendent’s Back-to-School Breakfast
(September)
In mid-September, the Foundation hosts a Breakfast at which the Superintendent presents to the community a “State-of-the-District” Report. It includes information about student achievement, the school construction program, district awards and recognition and challenges facing the district and education in general. Attendance: 400
Students of Promise Scholarship Awards
(March/April)
Each spring, high school juniors who have faced extreme obstacles in their lives are selected and honored at a gala dinner and awards ceremony. Students and teachers or counselors who nominated the students tell their stories on video and guests have described the event as one of the most emotionally charged evenings they have ever experienced. The Foundation awards each student with a $1,500 scholarship for college or technical training with the purpose of encouraging them to stay in school, graduate and pursue their dreams. Attendance: 300
Sponsorship per event — $5,000
Sponsorship benefits can include:

- Recognition in the district’s newspaper “CUSD Today”
